Discover Tenterfield’s true colours…

Autumn in Tenterfield brings average daily highs of 18 to 24 degrees Celsius – perfect weather for strolling the tree-lined streets, parks and gardens that are alight with red and golden hues.

With a backdrop of blue autumn skies, the fallen leaves form a magic carpet of rich red Claret Ash and Pin Oak gold, making a path through town as your explore this natural and historic wonderland. The national parks are a palette of green following the first light rains of the season.

As the sun sets over the mountain ranges and heritage buildings, find a cosy spot in front of a roaring log fire and enjoy a glass of local wine and delectable food to finish your day the Tenterfield way.
