Lanikai Wildlife Refuge and Camping Ground is 2500 acres of declared wildlife refuge. Home to at least 150 bird species, this is an idyllic location with its breathtaking views of the Upper Clarence, and with 2 acres of lush gardens. Marked walking tracks are perfect for birdwatchers, wilderness enthusiasts and naturalists looking for an authentic wildlife experience.Platypus and waterbirds.

Unpowered sites only. Rate from $12 for over 12 years, 6-12 years $6, under 6 years free.

Private camping ground with wood fired showers, shelter shed and firewood supplied.

The Tenterfield Visitor Information Centre has reopened following closures due to COVID-19 restrictions. The centre will be operating via a window service for the time being, and is staffed Monday to Saturday. Phone calls will be answered on Sunday.
